In einem kleinen Dorf ohne Durchgangsverkehr, umgeben von ziemlich viel Natur und Ruhe, liegt unser Haus, „Die traute 33“.
Im Erdgeschoss des Hauses am Hang befindet sich die Ferienwohnung, welche 2021 von Grund auf renoviert wurde.
Uns lag dabei eine möglichst ökologische und nachhaltige Umsetzung sehr am Herzen;
so sind z. B. die Wände mit Lehm- und Kalkfarbe gestrichen, die Dämmung ist aus Naturfasern, unser Strom ist Öko,
der Fußoden aus echtem Holz und die Bettwaren aus nachhaltiger Produktion.

In a small village without through traffic, surrounded by quite a lot of nature and peace, lies our house, "Die traute 33". At night you can often hear the owl calling here and with a bit of luck you can see the fox lacing through the garden at dusk. It can happen that the deer help themselves to the herbs that were actually planted for the guests...
Directly adjacent to the house is a meadow and a small "wood", where you can find hidden places to rest amidst trees, bushes and fragrant climbing plants. Those who like to barbecue may do so as they please, either on gas or charcoal. Hikers and cyclists can start directly at the house, e.g. the WesterwaldSteig, but also shorter hiking and circular trails lead through the valley and into the heights.
In the small town of Hachenburg, 4 km away, you can get all the articles of daily life, please do not miss to have a look at the beautiful, historic town centre with market square.
The Westerwald lake district, which is very close by, offers you opportunities for bathing, boating, "drum-around-walking", or just observe nature undisturbed for a while
